Frequently Asked Questions
While I went through the customary Registered Dietitian training, I have pursued additional training in integrative and functional nutrition. What this means is that I don’t just look on the surface and manage the symptoms which may look like digestive distress, infertility, auto-immune flairs, fatigue, or anxiety, but rather I seek to find the underlying root cause and restore function through nutrition support.
Currently I offer virtual consultations via HIPAA compliant online video chat (or by phone if necessary) from the comfort of your own space. When you make an appointment through your client portal, you will follow the prompts to connect with me at your appointed time.
My commitment is to improve the lives of women suffering from infertility, fatigue, brain fog, digestive discomfort, food sensitivities, mood disorders, poor sleep, migraines and auto-immune disease.
Have you spent numerous hours researching health solutions and feel overwhelmed by all of the information?
Have you been told that their blood work is “normal” or that what you are experiencing is all in your head?
Are you ready to get to the root cause of your health issues and finally feel your best?
If you are struggling with any of the symptoms above and answered “yes” to one or more of the questions then let’s work together.
I like to talk to potential clients first to learn YOUR story and better assess what package might be best for your situation. The details of fees are then presented to you based on what I feel would be most appropriate for supporting your goals
In order to best meet the needs of my clients, and streamline costs to go towards your care, I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I am happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
- I will be considered an out-of-network provider.
- Some insurance companies do not reimburse for virtual consultations.
It is within a Dietitian’s scope of practice to order labs that have a nutritional care component. I will, however, recommend that your physician order specific labs and will help you to advocate for yourself, especially when there is potential that your insurance will cover them.
I have established relationships with specialized laboratories to help provide meaningful, science-based testing. These functional labs are elective. However, these labs can provide great insight into your current bodily functions and needs. I will always prioritize which labs and testing is right for you so you don’t waste money or go through unnecessary testing.
I always take a food-first approach. However, if you are coming to me for professional health advice, then I may recommend some practitioner grade supplements to help support your nutritional needs and bridge any gaps that might exist to expedite your healing journey. As a general rule, I try to keep supplements to a minimum and always start low and slow.
The products I recommend in my virtual dispensaries are supplements that I have selectively chosen based on very specific parameters. My ultimate goal is for you to have the best health outcome possible. Therefore, I put a lot of time and energy into making unique recommendations tailored specifically to your needs.
It’s important to remember that supplements can vary greatly in the quality of ingredients, bioavailability (which is their ability to be absorbed in your body), potency and safety (whether they are third party tested).
All active clients will receive a discount off the retail price of supplements through my dispensaries.
